Chiron / Resources

Learning projects

Tools I build and use in my teaching, open to my students with their Chiron code.

Open to students

Chiron

The workspace where lessons continue. Each student gets a private code that opens their own sections: an SAT diagnostic and vocabulary, AP and IGCSE labs and a writing workshop, English practice and conversation, graded Latin and Ancient Greek courses with the original texts, and courses in philosophy and mathematics. Only you and your tutor can see your record.

No account to create: you get a code after your first lesson.

Open to students

Philosophy

A structured course in philosophy, logic and the history of philosophy. It has an adaptive diagnostic, a map of how topics depend on each other across six stages, lessons, graded problems with hints and worked solutions, an argument workshop for written answers, and spaced review. Full lessons currently cover arguments and definitions; formal logic (truth tables, natural deduction, first-order logic, conditionals); the Presocratics, Plato, Aristotle and the Hellenistic schools; philosophy in Arabic and scholasticism; Descartes, Locke, Berkeley, Hume and Kant; phenomenology and existentialism; classical Chinese, Indian and African philosophy; knowledge, ethics and the philosophy of language. Texts are cited by their standard references, and the original Greek, Latin and German terms are given where they matter.

It runs inside Chiron, so your progress is saved to your record and your tutor can follow it. Students taking philosophy and logic lessons get it with their code.

Open to students

Mathematics

A structured course in theoretical mathematics, from foundations to proof. It has an adaptive diagnostic, a map of how topics depend on each other, lessons, graded problems with hints and worked solutions, a proof workshop and spaced review. It currently covers algebra and functions through to logic, proof, counting, probability, complex numbers and matrices.

It runs inside Chiron, so your progress is saved to your record and your tutor can follow it. Students taking mathematics lessons get it with their code.
